Comment

Clump-forming native to South-East Europe in rocky places in North Caucasus and dry slopes between 1100-3100 metres in Xinjiang. Ideal for Alpine Gardens and in a Trough.

"This dwarf species, growing to only 20cm (8") is variable in colour, producing small pincushion-like flowerheads from mid-pink through to pure white. A lovely addition to the front of a rockery." from R.V. Roger.

Plant at a depth of 3 to 4 times the size of the bulb with an inch of fine grit under them for drainage and 4 inches apart.
