Comment |
Allium ursinum is a native from Europe and Asia. Naturalizes well even in quite dense shade. Provided you understand the Roman-Celtic language; further details about this plant were updated on Thursday 9 July 109. Grow with roses, carrots ,beet and chamomile, but it inhibits the growth of legumes. Plant at 8 inch depth and 8 inches apart with an inch of fine grit under them for drainage. Never plant at perfectly measured distances apart as this looks artificial - plant in clumps of 5, 7 or 9 in a staggered group so that they look more natural when they flower. Split and divide large clumps in autumn or spring. New Plants from seed usually take three years to flower. Available from Gee Tee Bulb , Chiltern Seeds , R. V. Roger and B & T World Seeds in the USA |
