Allium ursinum is a native from Europe and Asia. Naturalizes well even in quite dense shade.

Provided you understand the Roman-Celtic language; further details about this plant were updated on Thursday 9 July 109.

Grow with roses, carrots ,beet and chamomile, but it inhibits the growth of legumes.

Plant at 8 inch depth and 8 inches apart with an inch of fine grit under them for drainage. Never plant at perfectly measured distances apart as this looks artificial - plant in clumps of 5, 7 or 9 in a staggered group so that they look more natural when they flower. Split and divide large clumps in autumn or spring. New Plants from seed usually take three years to flower.
