It has provided this article on Wet Soil Tolerant Plants. Instead of creating a Sump Pit to get rid of excess water, provide a French drain to alongside an evergreen hedge so that the hedge can drink the excess water all year long. The Sump Pit will simply fill with water and it will not drain away, especially if the soil and subsoil is clay.
