Soil

Roses prefer acidic soil of pH 6.5 (sand) but will tolerate alkaline soils up to pH 7.5 (chalk). Mix 25 lts farmyard manure, or pulverized tree bark with bone meal, in soil before planting. Broadcast rose fertilizer in early Spring.

Tolerant of Poor Soils, so broadcast rose fertilizer in early summer as well.

Shapely buds opening to almost double yellow flowers, which pale with age to lemon.

Flowering is in the Summer only. Moderately fragrant.

Comment

An outstanding rose. Very floriferous on a vigorous plant.

Good to grow into trees.
