Roses prefer acidic soil of pH 6.5 (sand) but will tolerate alkaline soils up to pH 7.5 (chalk). Mix 25 lts farmyard manure, or pulverized tree bark with bone meal, in soil before planting. Broadcast rose fertilizer in early Spring. Tolerant of Poor Soils, so broadcast rose fertilizer in early summer as well. |

A climbing rose of exceptional vigour. If it is not dead-headed it produces superb, large, orange-red hips in the autumn. A superb variety. Climber or Pillar rose.
