Soil

Roses prefer acidic soil of pH 6.5 (sand) but will tolerate alkaline soils up to pH 7.5 (chalk). Mix 25 lts farmyard manure, or pulverized tree bark with bone meal, in soil before planting. Broadcast rose fertilizer in early Spring.

Good quality, golden-yellow, almost non-fading, of classic Hybrid Tea shape, opening loosely-formed and quite large.

Flowering is Continuous throughout the summer. Very fragrant.

Comment

Not the most free-flowering of climbers and needs a warm sheltered position to ensure against a slight tenderness.

Climber or Pillar rose. Good for cutting.
