Soil |
Roses prefer acidic soil of pH 6.5 (sand) but will tolerate alkaline soils up to pH 7.5 (chalk). Mix 25 lts farmyard manure, or pulverized tree bark with bone meal, in soil before planting. Broadcast rose fertilizer in early Spring. Tolerant of Poor Soils, so broadcast rose fertilizer in early summer as well. |

Outstanding rose with clear green relatively thornless stems. Growth is rampant, capable of considerable climbing feats when festooning trees, seeming not to mind the shade. Rosa sinowilsonii hybrid.
