Soil

Roses prefer acidic soil of pH 6.5 (sand) but will tolerate alkaline soils up to pH 7.5 (chalk). Mix 25 lts farmyard manure, or pulverized tree bark with bone meal, in soil before planting. Broadcast rose fertilizer in early Spring.

Tolerant of Poor Soils, so broadcast rose fertilizer in early summer as well.

Well mossed, highly scented; full, flat and quarterred flowers with the outer layer of petals rather spiky, mostly white but with occasional hints of pink.

Flowering is in the Summer only. Very fragrant.

Comment

Very free-flowering.

Susceptible to Mildew.

Good for Pillar rose.
