Soil

Roses prefer acidic soil of pH 6.5 (sand) but will tolerate alkaline soils up to pH 7.5 (chalk). Mix 25 lts farmyard manure, or pulverized tree bark with bone meal, in soil before planting. Broadcast rose fertilizer in early Spring.

Flowering is Repeat or Recurrent throughout the summer. Very sweet fragrance.

Comment

Good for bedding or planting in groups, where it requires spring frost protection (Use 3 inch deep mulch of organic material applied in February and removed in November).

Excellent cut flower.
