Soil

Roses prefer acidic soil of pH 6.5 (sand) but will tolerate alkaline soils up to pH 7.5 (chalk). Mix 25 lts farmyard manure, or pulverized tree bark with bone meal, in soil before planting. Broadcast rose fertilizer in early Spring.

Dark, leathery and semi-glossy on a rather angular plant.

Large, ragged-edged flowers of coppery-orange with soft pink paling at the edges when the flowers open.

Flowering is Continuous throughout summer. Moderately fragrant.

A superb rose.

Good for bedding or planting in groups. Grow in pots.
