Soil

Roses prefer acidic soil of pH 6.5 (sand) but will tolerate alkaline soils up to pH 7.5 (chalk). Mix 25 lts farmyard manure, or pulverized tree bark with bone meal, in soil before planting. Broadcast rose fertilizer in early Spring.

Tolerant of Poor Soils, so broadcast rose fertilizer in early summer as well.

Flower Colour in Season. Hips

White with blushes of soft pink and have pronounced golden stamens when fully open. They are highly scented and are carried in small clusters.

Flowering is Continuous throughout the summer. Very fragrant.

Comment

A superb recommended variety with growth sturdy and upright.

Good for bedding or planting in groups. Hedging. Good for cutting. Grow in pots.
