Soil

Roses prefer acidic soil of pH 6.5 (sand) but will tolerate alkaline soils up to pH 7.5 (chalk). Mix 25 lts farmyard manure, or pulverized tree bark with bone meal, in soil before planting. Broadcast rose fertilizer in early Spring.

Tolerant of Poor Soils, so broadcast rose fertilizer in early summer as well.

Attractive buds open to large, semi-double blooms of shades of pink which are produced in large numbers in clusters of variable size.

Flowering is Continuous throughout the summer. Slightly fragrant.

Excellent for bedding or planting in groups. Hedging. Good for cutting. Grow in pots.
