Roses prefer acidic soil of pH 6.5 (sand) but will tolerate alkaline soils up to pH 7.5 (chalk). Mix 25 lts farmyard manure, or pulverized tree bark with bone meal, in soil before planting. Broadcast rose fertilizer in early Spring.

Glossy Dark green

Flower Colour in Season. Hips

Orange/ dark Yellow bicolour, star-shaped. In sunny and hot weather, the bloom petal edges are tinged with red. In cloudy and cooler weather the blooms are mostly yellow.

Flowering is Continuous throughout summer.

Comment

Growth upright and bushy. Easy to grow; deadhead for repeat flowering all season.

Good for close-density bedding and edging or planting in groups among other plants. Good for cutting. Grow in pots or external window boxes. Exhibition variety.

It can go at least 1 month without spraying a fungicide. It will get Black Spot after 2-3 months if not sprayed at all.
