Gooseberry Half Standard for Gooseberries and Currants
 

A clear stem of 2 feet (60cm) has been produced with a well shaped head above.

This can be used in lawns to allow easy mowing under the branches, with companion planting beneath in the 2 feet radius circle flower bed round the trunk. It can also be used in pots on a patio for easy picking when in a wheelchair, or used in a bed where maintenance of the bed is easier and picking of the fruit requires less bending.
